I had adopted an old cherry headed conure that had plucked his entire chest and legs and underwings. This was one of the toys we put in his cage. It encouraged him to preen this toy that looks like a peacock feather rather than to overpreen himself.

It, along with a few other such toys helped to seriously reduce the amount of plucking he did in future (although he had been plucking so long of course his chest and leg feathers never did grow back).

This toy is an absolute must for any plucker you might have. My others don't seem interested.

This is a very simple toy that is wonderful for birds that pluck. it is a real peacock feather so it feels the same to a bird as there feathers. birds either love it or wont even look at it. but if you have a plucking bird you know you would try anything

I got this for my brown headed parrot and she loved it! She played with it until it literally fell apart. It is colorful and attracts my birds attention, keeping her from plucking herself.

Cons: Doesn't last very long

Birds naturally want to "preen" something else and this product gives them the perfect opportunity. It's the next best thing besides getting another bird!!
