Great in front of African Grey Hidey Holes
posted 5 years ago
Our Greys like to sleep in what we call Hidey Holes. They are wood boxes with top, back and sides and a perch with no bottom. We hang these in front of the hidey hole. At night and during the day when they nap, they crawl into their hidey hole and then pull these toys (attached to the top cage bar) like a shower curtain in front of them to hide them.
They will also rest in their hidey hold and grab pieces of the toy and play with it.
We just watch the string to be sure it is not unraveling or causing any potential toe trapping issues.
But they just love this. It makes them feel secure and hidden.
Pros: Keeps Greys busy and gives them a curtain for hiding
Cons: Keep watch over the unraveling of the rope
