I prefer the wooden ones but these work too. One of the things that has always been in my birds cages over the years is a ladder. Have it leading up to the perches or food and water dishes and the birds love it. They need to be replaced every once in a while but they are so inexpensive and easy to find.

Pros: Birds can get up and down the cage easily.

Cons: Plastic isn't the most durable.

I have this ladder. I guess you can say that it is part of my parakeets gym. It only took a day or so before Blue was climbing it. Afterwards, my shy Skyler also climbed it. Now they both go up and even down the ladder. It gives me much enjoyment watching them.

I have them in a deluxe super large cage and I might just get another ladder for them and put is somewehre else in the cage.

I just wish that it came in a talelr size. I would buy it in an instant.

This is also durable and easy to keep clean.

I originally bought this more because it looked cute,and I had spent a small fortune on the cage,food,treats etc.,and I wanted to at least get a few toys,and this ladder was pretty low price.
What surprised me was that the birds actually used it.Not only did they travel up and down the ladder,they'd also sit at the top and played with the beads,so enjoyment and exercise came out of it.
I have had this ladder for years,and it actually remains in good condition considering the price I paid.
