I highly recommend this product

posted 5 years ago

I use this product in their powder form on a regular basis to keep my birds digestive tract healthy. Helps fight bacterial infections and aids in digestion.

Any bird on medications should get this to replenish their good bacteria as the medications kill the good as well as the bad. Keeping the good bacteria up prevents bad bacteria from taking hold.

The gel makes it easy to administer to sick birds. I add the pwoder to their fruits daily. You can never give too much. It's a must in my oppinion.

Pros: Keeps the digestive tract healthy and replenishes good bacteria for birds who have been on antibiotics or anti fungals.

Cons: None in my experience.

Great Product!

posted 4 years ago

This product is GREAT. My macaw is very prone to bacterial infections and this helps her out so much. I use this in conjunction with Apple Cider Vinegar in her water, and she hasn't had an infection since her last one when I started using these.

The taste is also great, and my cockatiel and macaw come running and actually BEG for this. They'd eat the whole tube if I let them. A 15g tube lasts me about 1 1/2 -2 months, and costs about $10, so honestly, it isn't a bad deal. It can be harder to find though, and don't buy cheap rip-offs! They don't work as well. Double thumbs [and wings] up for this product!

Pros: Helps balance bacteria, helps digestion.

Cons: Can be expensive.

A great product!

posted 4 years ago

We have used this a few times on my eldest cockatiel when the bacteria in his gastral tract was unhappy. It only took a few applications before he already showed a great improvement. We used this after a trip to the vet, though, so don't forget to use that resource first!

Pros: helps restore bacterial balance

Cons: can stick feathers if your bird is sloppy with it

This is a great product. We kept it in stock at all times when I was working at an animal hospital. We saw such great results from the product. If your bird is having digestive difficulties, give Bene-Bac a try!

Pros: Easy to administer tube

Cons: Some birds are still hard to dose!
