Okay for some birds
posted 6 years ago
We use a trigger spray bottle for birds occasionally, but usually we take the birds in the shower with us at least once a week.
When using the spray bottle for birds we spray up into the air over the top and let the spray fall down on top of the birds rather than spraying at the bird.
Smaller birds can take baths in a cage bird bath if filled shallowly with water. Some birds would rather take a sink bath than be in spray.
It all depends on the bird and the time you take to get them used to it.
Pros: A way to give larger birds a bath
Cons: Some hate it.

Handy for those messy birds!

It's always handy to have just an ordinary spray bottle around to clean those birds that might need a little help doing so..or sometimes they just really enjoy it if you do it for them. It doesn't have to be a fancy bottle, but as long as it isn't a spray bottle that contained poisonous chemicals previous, then it should be fine. Any spray bottle works, except the ones that had something in it previous.
Pros: Keeps the birds clean and they like it!
Cons: Some of them don't, but that's only some.

Some birds like it and some don't. We had a bird that didn't like it but after using it for awhile - now the bird likes it. Takes a little time to get used to, I guess.
Pros: great for misting birds
Cons: some birds are afraid of it
