Del's Layer Pellets

posted 6 years ago

I use Del's Layer Pellets as a supplemental (free choice) feed for the domestic ducks and chickens. I'm pretty happy with it, it's been consistent quality and seems to digest well without flaving the eggs. I get nice, bright yolks and clear firm whites althought that may have more to do with the bugs, weeds, and slugs they eat than anything else.

Currently, (December 2007) the 50 LB bag is about $11. It seems to be the going rate for the area.

Pros: Pellet form is easy to keep cleaned up, bags keep product dry

Cons: None really, the bags can be a pain to open if the tape breaks

I have 3 cats and they love this food. They eat less and walk away with a full belly. Eating less means pooping less and less litter. All around a great choice for my cats.
