Since I feed our backyard birdies all year, I've found these to be the best way to feed them in the wintertime.

We put suet out all year long but it is hard for me to navigate, (due to a back and leg ailment) througout the yard to fill all the bird feeders we normally use in the nice weather.

Last season, I figured we would give these Kaytee bird bars a try. I can easily hang them around our deck without taking the risk of falling.

I noticed that we still had quite a bit of bird traffic which was wonderful to see. It gave me a feeling of peace to know these little guys were eating regardless of the cold weather.

The one thing I did notice, is that once the bars get to a certain size, they tend to fall apart and land on the ground/snow. That's okay for the birdies as long as the squirrels or chipmunks don't get there first.

Overall, this is a great product to have on hand for those awful, yucky winter days!

This is a really easy way to feed the birds, but it has some seed in it that my birds won't touch (mainly the millet). If in the weather too long, it does tend to crumble a bit.

The block is easy to hang and the birds like it a lot. It doesn't last long.
