I bought this for my 4 cockatiels. They live in a large homemade cage outside. It is covered and they have various sized wooden perchs and other interesting things to climb on. This sun deck is a favorite for all of them. They sleep on it.

The spacing is rather wide, so smaller birds would have problems keeping their claws from going through the spaces.

I like that it gives my birds variety to stand on. I have various sizes of perches and branches as well as a wood deck so that they can exercise their feet and it helps the muscles as well. I noticed that they prefer larger perches as opposed to the thinner ones, so the ones they have range from 5/8 inch to 1 inch in diameter.

This sundeck is easy to clean. I have had problems installing it. I did install it, but the deck part was angled. After some bending and hammering, I have it where the deck is straight, but is is more difficult to remove for cleaning.

Overall it is a great product.
