My parakeets used this for a couple of hours before bed. Next morning both of them had red eyes. I threw out the cuttlebone/mineral treat. Thankfully, after a couple of days their eyes were back to normal. Now I just get the plain ol' cuttlebone and they don't have any problems.

My birds have really enjoyed these and it's easy to give them the benefit of the mineral block and the cuttlebone. However, after they've picked at them a bit, the cuttlebone falls out and to the bottom of the cage. Other than that, they seem to be a good product.

I have a sun conure and a cockatiel so I got one for each of them. The conure won't try it and the cockatiel really enjoys it. I really wanted it to be used when my conure was laying eggs for extra calcium, but she wouldn't.

Great calcium and other mineral supplement for your birds. My birds love picking at these.
