I love this cockatiel bird bath and my cockatiel loves getting baths. I hang this on the outside of the cage. I open the fold down door on the Prevue 18 wide by 18 wide cage with deep plastic bottom and it hangs off the door toward the outside so it does not take up any cage room.

The bird loves jumping in and splashing around in the water.

I must say he also loves being in the shower with me. I let the water bounce off my shoulder and the overspray sprays onto the bird and he lifts his feathers and turns so very bit of him gets wet. The more he bathes the harder it is for his feathers to get wet.

All of my cockatiels in past have loved this bath. It has been out a long time. Mine has lasted for years. And because the top 5/8 or so is clear plastic you can watch them bathe and they are not afraid to go into it.

Great product.

we bought this item for our cockatiels, but quickly found out that they hate baths and would instead throw food into the thing and poop in it. when our cockatiels had babies, however, we found it very useful for washing the mess off of the babies after hand-feeding them. since this use of the bath didn't use the hanging clips, the screws that attached the clips to the main body came loose and we eventually lost one of them, rendering the product useless for its intended purpose.

its size and shape also drastically limit its use to cages with doors of the correct proportions. Misting works much better, as does taking the birds into the shower.
