Finally, a feeder with less mess. Plus, the large capacity is great - less time spent filling and refilling in the winter when it's cold out.

I have used my hanging feeder for a number of years and it has aged well. The basic design is such that the birds help to keep it clean, the bottom feed tray is about optimum for the birds. Hanging it so that it's about 4 inches above the ground keeps it from rusting, and the added height off the ground helps reduce the mess. (I'm not quite sure why this is, but it seems like the birds have less tendency to pick through the feed if its above ground level, which means that there is less scattered and wasted feed to be cleaned up.)

No real problems with this product at this point. Long service and easy to use and care for.
