A Clever Concept

This is a clever idea. The feed wholes are placed below the perches, so only birds that feed upside down can use it. In our neighborhood, it attracts Gold Finches. Less desirable species, such as those pesky Weaver Finches and Starlings, don't use it. I think, because of it's cheap construction, if a squirrel were able to gain access, it would be destoyed in short order. However, it is still an effective way to feed native species, and is well worth trying.
Pros: easy to fill,economical,atracts native finches only
Cons: not as durable as some
