Nutritional warm food for parrots
posted 5 years ago
I use crazy corn on occasion when I run out of my own prepared "soft food", or for a change of pace in flavors/ingredients for my birds.
I make a mixture of "soft food" that includes non fattening natural foods like legumes, veges, whole grains etc. about once a month, and package it in small sandwich bags and freeze it. I then thaw out a new bag every few days to feed the birds their nightly soft diet.
Crazy corn is a little different mixture but the same basic idea and comes in different ingredient mixtures. The birds love it as much as my own mixtures and it is a change of pace for them from mine, as well as a substitute if I should run out before I have a chance to make a new batch.
It is highly nutritious and birds love it. They particularly love warm food so I feed it while it is still warm (but not hot!!!). It is a little pricey for feeding 8 parrots though.
Pros: Warm food, nutritional and better than fatty seeds

Cooked parrot food

Quality broad nutrition combats pet birds #1 killer: seed only diet. We feed CRAZY CORN every morning along with fresh fruits and veggies. Even if you do not have time to cut up fruit & veggies every day, CRAZY CORN takes care of everything they need.
Pros: Very healthy and all natural cooked food for pet birds.
