The plastic, pumice, braided rope, and copper components of this bird accessory are truly all beneficial to a bird's beak and nails. I have used them with my parakeets, and have always been pleased with the results.

My parakeet Randy used to love the old "stone" pecking item that we used to buy him some ten years ago - I am sure all this is IMPROVED items. Randy is gone and not now but I hope to have another parakeet in my life again.
