I used to use this carrier to transport cockatiels. It is easier to get some birds into it because you don't have to coax them to enter from the side. They can see that you are putting them onto a perch and they are much better with that. My only problem was that after a while, the latches started to lose functionality.

I use mine for transporting my senegal, but over the years I have transported bearded dragons, sparrows, a kitten and Lord knows what else. Each time I was able to completely disinfect the carrier. I do find the strap is useless. It doesn't stay on your shoulder safely, I always use the handle on the carrier.

This lets the bird see what is going on around him, which seems to make mine happier. It is a nice, safe transport for them. They don't mind getting in, because usually it means they get to go to the outdoor avairy in good weather.

for the price of this you cannot go wrong. I set the perch very low and put a small towel in the bottom for my birds comfort. It is grat if your bird can do the step up step down command.
