I have two feeders that attach to the windows, and I love them. They are also the main focus for kitty tv throughout the spring, summer, and early fall. We have one on the back window and the cats can watch the hummers. The cats love to watch, and the birds don't mind at all. I have one on the front storm door, so we can watch them from our living room. They are such a joy to watch.
I don't use the nectar, I boil water with sugar, 4 parts water to one part sugar, and add red food coloring. The birds love it! The National Audobon Society said this mixture is good and healthy for the birds, there is no danger from the red food coloring, as previously thought. If you have seen any of my hummer videos, you will know that my neighbor and I support approximately 300 hummers between us. We even have some of them named! The brave ones will even land on us, especially if we are late with their food, or wearing red nail polish! Or red clothes!

it is not so much that the deeder is hard to clean but that hummingbird necter is hard to clean. the only other problem i have had with it is that the sweet nector also attracts bees. they are a joy to watch and the little birds are beautiful

these are neat and after a while the birds really arent scared of you in the window...really give you a close up but need to be filled too often in my area

This is so enjoyable for the hummingbirds and my cat and grandson. The hummingbirds are so fast when in a tree or flower, you miss them. With this window feeder, you can truly see them.

But stand back some, or the hummingbirds will fly away.
