Most awesome bird habitat I've ever had

My bird and I absolutely love this cage. When I ordered it, I took to heart the advice to order the largest cage you can afford, so I ordered a 4x4x3 foot cage. When it got here, I expected to have to take a week or so for Peanut, my African Grey, a breed well known for being sensitive to change, to adapt. Nope, watched us put it together, she looked at it, I took her over to it and told her it would be her new home, she stepped up on one of the perches, and never looked back at her old cage. (Not to say that all birds would react the same way - Peanut is an awesome, and unusual Grey, to say the least.)
Cages by Design offers both standard cage configurations and custom cage configurations. If you can't find a standard cage size you like (and there are lots of options available), you can order a custom size. You can also order "hoods" and cabinets, and all sorts of cool options.
You can order a cage with a solid background, or you can order it with an acrylic back, as we did, so the bird has a 360 view. Ordering the 360 view gives you more flexibility as to which side of the cage goes against a wall/window.
Cages also have outside access feeding cups available. You order these separately, and tell them which panels you want them in.
PROS: Multiple size options; stainless steel wire mesh; aluminum frame; slide out trays.
BTW - that wire mesh is VERY sturdy - this is NOT chicken wire. It's much, much thicker than that. Let's just say the top of the cage is the stainless steel wire mesh, and you can safely hang macaw size toys from it with no problem.
CONSIDERATIONS: When you order your cage, think carefully about size. I ordered a cage too big to fit thru standard size doors. If I ever want to move it to a new room, I'll have to take it apart to do so. Due to its size, it's also difficult to hang toys in the back corners of the cage, clean the back acrylic, etc. I really should have bought something a little smaller front to back so full access is easier.
NOTE: I do NOT recommend purchasing any of their Replica cage furniture. It WILL NOT stand up to a birdy beak. It took Peanut about 2 seconds to sink her beak into it and take a chunk out of it. Waste of my money.
Since I ordered my cage, they've improved the product line even more. They have a new line, "Majestic Enclosures" that encloses their cage in wood. Makes me want a second new cage!!!
CONS: Probably the only con is the price. You can save some money if you purchase one of their standard configurations.
Pros: Bird LOVES it; HIGHLY customizable (size); you can have this cage in your living room
Cons: Probably the price?
