Polly’s Orthopedic Nail-Trimming Perch gives birds a spa day at home.
June 29, 2010 1:32 pm | By Zootoo Editor Mary T.
If you've grown tired of trimming your bird's nails - or sick of the inconvenience and expense of having it done for you - consider investing in Polly's Sand Walk Orthopedic Nail-Trimming Perches.
These bright additions to the birdcage feature an attractive design. And although some birds might be anxious about trying them out at first, they should become quickly accustomed to the product's unique surface texture and shape. Plus, the perch is surprisingly durable, considering its light weight.
Beyond keeping nails tidy, the innovative structure of the perch is especially formulated to strengthen your bird's muscles - giving him a workout in addition to a spa day. And for the affordable price, these benefits are well worth adding Polly's Perch to your bird's home.
Pros: Convenient way to keep nails trimmed. Bright colors and attractive design are appealing both to birds and their owners.
Cons: Skittish birds may have trouble adjusting to the new perch.

May help keep those nails trimmed

So Groucho's had this for a few days now.He went from standing in the corner the first day to me actually hearing him scrape his beak on it the very next morning which was funny,as he seems to be much braver with new toys and such in the dark.
Anyway,he is actually using the perch because it's up near his food dish, and seem to be adjusting to it fine. It's too soon to tell about the nail trimming, but I have a feeling that he all ready likes his new perch.
Pros: aid in trimming nails easy to find nice width for bird
Cons: none so far
