The Humane Society Of The United States Complete Guide To Cat Care

Every cat owner should own this book. It covers most topics in regards to cat health, issues, diet, etc. However I feel it is basic and just a quick overview of topics. It will not provide very detailed information. But again, it is a great book for all cat owners to have on hand for reference.

This is a good book for basic information on cat care, from picking out a cat to cat behavior and choosing a litterbox. I especially like that it has a chapter on why to keep your cat indoors that goes into all the reasons why it is healthier for cats to not be free-roaming. It also has great tables on dangerous and toxic plants, plus one on plants that are cat-safe, and medical information explaining what is an emergency and what may not be. All-in-all this is a good cat care manual worth investing in.
