Better for someone new to cats

A nice book on understanding a cat's behavior and how to work with and bond with a cat. I like that she stresses that a cat shouldn't be declawed and should never, ever be disciplined like you woud a dog. It is really designed for someone brand new to cats, but the reminder that cats need undivided attention every day probably is good for all cat people.
Pros: Straightforward presentation of information
Cons: Experienced cat people probably won't find much new
