Metzler Park

This is a small park on the Green River in Auburn. It's about 6miles from the beginning of the Greenvalley Rd coming from HWY 18.

It's basically just a small parking lot with a trail that leads to the river. It splits into 2 paths about halfway, both paths end at the river. If the water is low, the left path is longer. I usually take my dogs down one path and then the other since they're both dead-ends.

They LOVE this park! So many new smells every time we go.

The only real negative is this trail gets pretty muddy in the winter since it's so close to the river. The sun doesn't have much access to the trail to dry it up, either. It's a beautiful march through dense forest. Awesome photo opportunity!

Also, if your dogs aren't on a leash be very careful. There are a lot of fishermen that leave trails through the thick brush and your dog might wander off tracking a scent. And there are no fences!!

Pros: Short, natural, quiet

Cons: Muddy in the winter, no fences
