Barkleyville Dog Park

After years of advocating for a dog park in our city, dog owners were rewarded in 2008 with Stockton's first ever dog park! It is a beautiful dog park, with three sections available - a small dog park (under 20 lb.), a larger dog section (over 20 lb.) and an agility course area. There are even sections for the humans to enjoy. Unfortunately, being that it is the only dog park, it is often crowded - too crowded for my girls, and so we don't frequent it as much. As with any dog park, you also have folks who simply will not abide by the rules, and will put their under 20 lb. dogs with the big dogs and that's when trouble can ensue. It really is a beautiful park, though.

Cons: Only One Dog Park in a Large City
