Explore the boulders of the Alabama Hills

The Alabama Hills are a great place to take your dog running. The area is never crowded. You can get away with running with your dog off leash; that is, if he/she is well trained and responds when called. There are lots of dirt roads and paths to walk/run on. The boulders are fun to climb on and explore with your dog. The view of Mt. Whitney is spectacular!

Pros: Not crowded, beautiful views, open space for you and your dog to run and roam

Cons: Be careful of snakes
