Chatfield Dog Park

This park is very nice, it has water for your dogs to swim in and lots of room for them to run. It is very large and is hard for you to catch your dog and it is right by the highway! So you need to keep a close eye on your dog!!

I thought I had already reviewed Chatfield, but I suppose I haven't! I'll gladly do it again!

Any dog I've ever brought here adored it! It is not fenced, but it's such a huge area that it's unlikely you'll lose your dog unless it's completely ready to romp off and pay no attention to your whereabouts. There are two large ponds, water fountains, benches, restrooms, paths, a river, barbeque/picnic areas, etc.... this place has it all! The off leash area is considered a "training" area and I believe it was created for training huntin' and retrievin' dogs, but that doesn't mean every other dog can't come too! My dog Buttons especially loves the retrievin' part. I could throw balls into the pond for her all day and she'd keep bringing them back to me. It's a gas to watch! I plan to buy a pass eventually -- it'd be worth it considering how often we visit. Yay Chatfield!

Pros: huge, beautiful, water, trees, ponds, popular, did i mention beautiful?

Cons: none? oh, the $6 fee to get in. yeah.
