Large 'Wild' Dog Park
posted 2 years ago
This is a very large 'wild' dog park as I like to say. It has basically just been fenced in, had an agility course added, and opened for the doggies. My dogs love this place because there are lots of clusters of large and small trees/shrubs that they can hide and run through (humans can get through them too). The park is not a flat park, there are slopes and hills and ever changing terrain which is very nice to add some adventure to your average day at the park. The agility course is actually pretty good, it is situated at the top of the hill with benches for you to watch. There are dirt trails you can follow or you can wander out into the grass/shrubs. The only downfall to this place is that there is quite a few cactus' and thorn plants. Not a major problem but something to be aware of. They do have two entrances and water for the doggies. It does get SUPER busy on the weekends but not bad at all during the week. In order to get there you must take a frontage rd. From I- 25 S you get off at Ridgegate, turn left at the light then take the first right after you pass under I-25. From I-25 N take Ridgegate, Go left and take the next immediate left and follow the frontage road. The dog park will be on your left, you will see it. Try it out and enjoy!!
Pros: Large, lots of shrubs, dirt, trees, grass, agility course
Cons: Cactus, thorns
