Mary Moore Searight Metro Park

I love this park, and usually take my two dogs on walks there at least three times a week. We go very early, just after the sun rises. Lots of wild life to see, deer, racoons, armadllos, ect.

Pros: Not crowded

Cons: people and their trash

If you live in southeast Austin, this is a decent park to take your dog without having to drive an hour to another part of town. Technically you should leave your dog on leash, but if they have good recall, you can get away with them off leash. There are lots of dirt paths to explore with grassy areas and trees all along. There is even a creek that you can cross.

Pros: Hardly ever crowded, lot of paths to explore

Cons: Not much water in the creek
