Schweitzer Woods Forest Preserve

Although this park is lacking some ammenities like water, bathrooms, and ample parking, the size and structure of it make up for that. This park has a large area (5 or so acres) that has a large grassy area for play and well maintained trails through the wooded area so dogs who like to scavenge can do it safely. It also has a smaller fenced area beside it for people who would prefer not to use the large area. My dog and I have been going to this park for about eight months and always have a great time. Most of the people and dogs who visit Schweitzer Woods are friendly. I have seen some minor scuffles between dogs, but nothing major. I recommend this place to anyone who likes dog parks.
