A long, linear, spectacular park

A Rails To Trails project, the River's Edge Trail in Great Falls is not exactly a dog park (although there is one now adjoining it), but it is the most popular place for dogs and their people to have fun and exercise together. It's miles and miles of urban paved trail following the Missouri River, transitioning to packed dirt trails in the rough cut banks of the river. There are benches, picnic tables, and drinking fountains (in warm weather) for resting along the way -- and at least one bench has a dedication plaque to the donor's beloved dogs.
