This is a small dog park in Basking Ridge (Bernards Township) that is for local residents only though I'm not sure how it is managed. It is a bit off the street so one would have to know about it to find it. Parking is a little ways away from the field. Not too many dogs at any one time so you probably would have lots of private time with your dog.
