What more can you ask for in life? A place of such extra ordinary beauty, secluded and not over run by people, free to access, easy to access by car, and you can bring your dog. God I miss Maine. There is no excuse to not bring your dog here. Trees everywhere to sniff, squirrels chattering from above, and the water. That beautiful water gently rushing by below. My family's lab goes swimming in the Sheepscot River year round. There is no greater joy in the world than to see a lab in the water splashing/swimming/and going after the stick that she just MADE you throw for her. The trails vary in legnth, you could go for a quick walk or a 2 hour walk- its up to you. No near by highways or roads to worry about. And there shouldnt be any hunters close by to worry about either.
