I prefer the metal cages

these look great and are fun to watch your hamster play in but i prefer the metal cage because they can't chew through it. i slept on the floor many a night trying to capture our hamster after he chewed his way out of the habitrail. i ended up having 2 cages. one for a playpen and the other for his home. by the way i always got stuart back. FYI: i would sleep on the floor with just a nightlight and leave food on a plastic bag so i could hear him when he would sneak up to eat. it worked everytime! hope this helps someone.
