Greetings from my first visit to the world-famous Hamptons, specifically Westhampton, NY. Today, I joined celebrity pet trainer Bash Dibra, NBC's Today Show’s Entertainment and Animal Rights Correspondent Jill Rappaport, Clifford the Big Red Dog, the talented Purina Agility Team and scores of pets and pet lovers at the 8th annual Love on a Leash event sponsored by Bideawee. Special paws up to Bash, the very talented dog trainer and to an amazing grey cat named Misty - the only brave feline in a sea of canines.
It turns out that Misty literally saved her pet parent's life. Owner Donna told me that she was having a severe asthma attack and Misty pawed her under the chin to keep her throat open so she could breathe. Misty now sports a red tag declaring her as the "world's best kitty" and including the date of her lifesaving action: 4-7-08. Wow - that is one grrr-eat cat!
