I truly appreciate what you are doing. A couple of years ago we rescued some Full bred American Saddlebred horses, we kept them as long as we could, gave them the food and love that they needed, but we couldn't keep up with the regular vet visits due to our limited income. Thankfully we found a horse farm that took the two remaining horses. The Mother horse had foals every year for a number of years before we got her without proper nutrition and care so her back was quite swayed. The people that kindly rescued them from us put $700.00 of vet care into them right away. They were just going to let the mama horse enjoy a good life and her newest baby that was born on our land after we rescued them they trained to be ridden.

Thank you for what you do. I think both your organization and the articles in Zootoo petnews have opened the eyes of alot of people who don't get the HSUS alerts on these issues. Lets hope more people jump on board protecting horses.

You are truly doing a great service and are really deserving of your position in the top ten of one monsterly HUGE contest. I'm a horse person and have seen the horrors of starving horses and abused ones. I have a dear friend in Melbourne Australia who is a TB rescue all on her own - and the only one I know of in a HORSE RACING COUNTRY. The whole country closes down for the Melbourne Cup Race. Lots of TB's aren't good enough to make it and many wind up at Lindy's modest farm where she tries to find homes for them. Keep up the good work!
