This shelter is ran by the most loving, caring, devoted people I know. The lives that this shelter saves is breath taking. Lori runs that shelter like a smooth river. You can always find Deana on the computer or phone making arrangements for someone to rescue an animal. Who is running the spay/neuter clinic or who do you go to if you have a medical question for your fosters? Dayln has got the answer or the connections to get the job done, Hannah is rocking at the adoption center getting applications approved, the staff is running around taking care of everything that walks or is carried thru the door, Animal control keeps the slackers in the community straight, the weekend staff holds down the fort, and keeps the place running, all so they can start all over again on Monday morning.
If they only knew, who much I respect, adore and appreciate their friendship, their devotion, their work ethic, and their LOVE for these animals.
I am so proud to be a part of this amazing work. Between the devoted staff and the massive amounts of community support, we are able to help not only our community's animals, BUT because of the support system and volunteers, Lorri and Deana the directors, are able to pull animals from other high kill shelters and place them in rescue or in homes. I am so proud of our low cost spay neuter clinic, there's just no excuse as to why a person cant get their animal fixed. Because I have even heard Lorri work with a less fortunate person because she knows how important it is to alter these animals.
If given the more then generous make over, I would feel confident that the Bowling Green Warren Co Humane Society would use the money to save so many lives not only in our community, but in the surrounding community's as well. Personality, I would love to see a remodel on our old building and a new building for our vet clinic. We service several community's spaying and neutering we just need more space.
