The top ten things the Butte Shelter needs are: 1. more room for taking in stray animals, 2. updated and bigger kennel areas, 3, better ventilation, 4. fix leaks in roof, 5. better heating and cooling system, 6, a new commercial washing machine and dryer, 7. an area for an animal behaviorist to work to train and rehabilitate abused animals to be able to put them up for adoption, 8, at least one full time veterinarian to be able to administer medical needs and answer the public's questions, 9, a trained vet tech to answer the telephone to answer the public's questions regarding behavioral, disease, training and other questions, 10, more land to expand the availability to take in and adequately house more animals in need of shelter, especially enclosed areas during the winter months.
