The West Plains Regional Animal Shelter would be the ideal winner of the makeover, in my opinion. This little shelter that does so much good is the underdog of this contest. Try to envision how much good would come from the ultimate makeover of this shelter.
Located in a state that has endured rains, floods, tornadoes, snow, ice, heat and drought, this shelter has taken in animals that have survived horrific odds and certainly could use some protection from the weather.
Rural poverty makes for a tough life for people and animals are at a deeper disadvantage. These dear, orphaned animals need all of the help they can get. Animals are the most vulnerable in these situations.
The fact this shelter ranked at #16 in this contest says a lot for the community network of animal lovers. That's what zootoo is all about, a community network of animal lovers. The synergy of a dynamic group of dedicated people propelled this shelter to the top 20!
Missouri is the "Show Me!" state. Missouri is where the great President Harry Truman lived. Missouri is where Laura Ingalls Wilder lived and wrote her classic books for children. Missouri is the state where people have chosen the President for many elections. Missouri ought to be the place where ZooToo builds a State-of-the-Art shelter!
For the dear animals, for the dedicated staff, for the wonderful people just waiting to learn about The West Plains Regional Animal Shelter, this shelter would do the most good with a new animal shelter. Physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually ...........a new shelter for West Plains Regional Animal Shelter would really be fabulous!
