The SPCA Serving Erie County Is Incredible

I just can't say enough about the SPCA Serving Erie County. I got my beagle, Susy, there after my brother, my only sibling, very unexpectedly passed away. She was 6 years old and had been in the shelter for 5 days. The staff and volunteers were so wonderful and took the time to talk to me and walk with me when I took Susy outside and listened to and put up with my sobbing and story about the loss of my brother. They told me how she behaved during her time in the SPCA and helped me pick a collar and leash, food, food and water bowls. I was there for hours and everyone was so helpful and patient with me. Susy was the best dog I ever had. So I decided to give back to the SPCA by volunteering. I also put the SPCA in will, as I feel that strongly about what a wonderful place it is. The staff held a wonderful volunteer training course. I must say, I have never worked with a more wonderful group of volunteers. I work every fundraiser put on by the SPCA and love it. I will do anything for them.. Barbara Carr is the best Executive Director. She is so knowledgeable and so caring and has such a passion for what she does. And it shows as you walk around the SPCA. The compassion the staff has for all the animals at the SPCA and finding them good homes is truly heartwarming and inspiring. The care the animals get is also wonderful. Whenever I hear of someone who wants to adopt an animal, I tell them to go to the SPCA Serving Erie County becasue they will know they are getting a well cared for, wonderful pet. Everyone, staff and volunteers make the SPCA best place to get adopt an addiiton to your family, hands down.
