For the last ten years our board and members have been dreaming about a new building. We raised money and have gone without like working bathrooms) in order to get enough money to start. This week work has started on clearing the grounds in order to make the site ready for a new building. We have almost enough money to complete the shell of the building but nothing to fit out the inside of the kennels and catteries Once the shell is completed we can triple the number of animals we shelter and, over the years, save countless thousands more anmials. We are an organization that is known for helping others when they are in a pinch so winning the ZOOTOO Shelter Makeover would not only help St. Hubert's but many, many other shelters that depend on us to take their animals who otherwise would be euthanized. It would be so wonderful to be able to say "yes" more often when asked by these shelters to assist. As they clear the ground outside I can't help but think how amazing it would be and how many more animals we could help if we were to win the Makeover.
