I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley and helped us to win 2nd place in the Shelter Makeover Contest. I am so proud of our shelter, its employees, volunteers, Board of Directors and especially of the Mid-Ohio valley community for the support that we have received. Although we did not win the top prize, we have a lot to be proud of and thankful for. I sincerely hope that the outpouring of community support that we have received will continue. It has been great to see how a fairly small community can pull together and accomplish something like this. I still haven't gotten over just placing in the top 20 of almost 1000 shelters in the USA! There are just too many people to thank individually here, but you all know who you are and can share in the pride that we all feel. I do want to say a special thank you to Richard and all the Zootoo Crew for their inspiration. We will never forget what this contest has meant to us and the community. Thank you so much!

Take care and if I am ever in the area of your shelter I will be sure to stop in and visit. I'm with WAHS and not sure exactly where you are but who knows might be closer than one would think.

You should be very proud! And thank you for stepping up to the plate and getting involved with the HSOV. I know all too well how difficult it can be to get people involved in this cause and there have obviously been difficult times in the past for the HSOV. But you have come a long way and I know how much they need people that care and are committed. So, good for you for being a part of not only this incredible success but for your committment when the picture isn't so bright. Congratulations to you all and my best in the future for the HSOV. You should all be extremely proud of yourselves!
