I have been a volunteer at this shelter for a couple of years now, and have adopted three animals from them. The people that work there are the most caring people you would ever want to meet. The staff is knowledgeable and give the animals in their care all the love and attention that they deserve. This is a no kill shelter that doesn't discriminate against animals, which is to say they will take in any animal that needs their help, give them everything thing they need until they can be adopted to a new home. The only problem with this shelter is that there is not enough money to do all that needs to be done. The kennels need updating, repairs to the heating system and plumbing problems are just a few of the problems that this shelter faces. But no matter what, they still find a way to provide the animals with the best care out there. If there was ever a shelter that was in need of a makeover, this shelter is the one.
