Meeting wonderful folks at the Expo

I did not go to the Animal Expo every single day. I would have loved to, but time was not really my friend. Wednesday, was spent with our friends in Down Town Disney for a few hours and to the convention to find out our time for thursday's presentation.

Wednesday evening was the dinner with Zootoo Team, the top 20 shelters and their guests. I got to meet several folks who I call my friends.

First was the wonderful Rabbit person whom I think her name was Debbie, but could be wrong. (meet alot of people those couple days). Either way, she was so full of energy, I was hoping some would rub off as I was tired after 2 full days of Disney Parks.

Next was the rehearsal for the line up on stage. I got to meet Courtney and Nancy who are both with Zootoo and both of whom has helped me when I had questions.

Then came several of the reps for the shelters. Maria, Kindra, Cheryl, and many more. I felt like it was a reunion or something. It was just so exciting.

Dinner was really nice and yes, it was really interesting. Having just met Kindra who sat with us, I found that I liked her alot. She was like an old friend whom you lost touch with, but once back together, well, it just felt right. She even gave me her mushrooms right off her plate.

I also got to meet Carrie from Parkersburg and her buds. It was a really nice time in visiting with no pressure.

Thursday added more folks that I was glad to meet. One young lady came up to us and introduced herself as PixiesRevenge aka Amy. What a sweet girl. She mentioned about how hard it was in becoming a Zoomaster and I really have to agree with her. I am glad to know that there are so really young folks who are so devoted to the animals. Great Job PixiesRevenge.

I also meet folks who were not part of Zootoo and learned alot. We made some major contacts that I believe will help our shelter in the long run.

I am so glad that we got to go the animal expo. I know next year, I plan on going and staying the whole 4 days.

After all, where can you find that many folks devoted to animals in one place. And to think that Zootoo help get me there this time. Thanks Zootoo.

I agree. Just with the contacts we made it was worth the trip.

It is always nice meeting people that you share the same compassion. Glad you had fun. I would of fried in that FL weather. I am a northern gal! LOL!

Two Gallons of Sunblock SPF 80!!! No burns, maybe a little burn out!! A long, fun tiring week mostly in the sun. But would do again!

Yes, I do have to keep an eye out for George and the Sun. They don't mix well at all.

It was alot of fun.

You most likely don't remember me, I was the gal hanging around with Debbie from Midwest Rabbit on Thursday. I greatly enjoyed meeting you and all the other shelter representatives in Orlando. I lived and breathed this contest and was so happy to be there to see the awards. I think the contacts that all the shelters made with each other are priceless!

Yes, I remember you. I am just horrible with names. I think the contest was alot of fun, hard work but fun. I spent more time with my dogs trying out new treats, new toys, getting tons of pictures and video of them.

And meeting other shelters and people is priceless. I agree with that one hundred %.

Sounds like you had a great time Betty. It always amazes me that I have to come home from vacation to get rest. We always RUN RUN RUN while on vacation too. The funny part is we check out petting zoos, zoos or any thing related to animals while on vacation. As if we do not have enough animals at home.
So did you get to meet Eeyore? He is my ultimate favorite from the Disney crew.
Congratulations to the HSMC for winning the $5000. and for making it in the final 20. We will always be winners!
