As a volunteer at Little Shelter, I've seen them do so many, many wonderful things each and every day for the animals in their care and for other animals who need care. The Shelter desperately needs a makeover, but there is always an animal who needs an expensive surgery or animals that need to be rescued and the money goes there. For me personally, Little Shelter was there when my late dog, Toby was dying and the only thing that could save him was a whole blood transfusion and only packed red cells were available on the Island. They helped to bring a blood donor dog to donate for Toby and add blessed time to his life. When little Lisa, my Japanese Chin, started to have lengthy cluster seisures on a daily basis and no vet I went to was able to help, they helped me to find one that could and Lisa has now been seizure free for over two years. Just as all our dogs beg "pick me" to every possible adopter who walks through their kennel, I am begging you too, "Pick Little Shelter" and help them to do wonderful things for every animal whose life they touch.
