Latte & Slippy Doodle

I wanted to post some thoughts on here aout my 2 boys...Latte and Slippy Doodle.
Actually Slippy belongs to my son Steven!

These 2 magnificent boys were rescued by Jo Deibel and Angel Acres ... I cannot out into words how thankful I am every day that they were spared!

I grew up around horses all my life, but never had the pleasure of having my "own" horse.

Then I saw Latte on Angel Acres website....those eyes of his just drew me right in! lol
He is so amazing.

Then a couple months later, we see Slippy Doodle!
Another amazing guy....my son was hooked as well.

So now we have these 2 amazing guys that are like children to us, and couldn't be happier. Some days I wonder what it was like before them....those thoughts occur to me even though its been only 15 months that we have been priveleged with these boys in our lives.

I wanted to gush a little about them because they deserve it but also to say just how fabulous Angel Acres is....this is such a valuable service that is being done for these animals. I wish more people were aware as to what REALLY happens to the race horses after a race, or what happens at an auction. How many people REALLY know what a kill buyer is? I have started up a foundation myself that is geared to helping other rescues with funding, etc....
It is my love for this animal that I do this....do I have to? Heck no. I sit up many nights crying because of what I see....the first video I saw was horrific. I haven't slept a full night since.
These horses do not deserve what happens to them.
It is brutal and horrific. People that want to call themselves human beings would NEVER even think about supporting these atrocities to another living creature.
They feel pain and fear...thay are well aware that they are in a bad place and in danger. For what?
For a little appetizer? It infuriates me....

What do we, as americans, have to do to stop this?
For one, we need to support rescues like Angel Acres...the more support she has, the more animals she can rescue.
Bottom line...please help these horses.

I am here to help these horses and I am not going anywhere.
So get used to hearing my name!
