I have to admit....I was bummed when I heard that St. Hubert's didn't make the top 10. Stunned is probably a more accurate word, as we worked so hard as a united front. Upon receiving the news, I wrote to my husband immediately expressing my dismay....his reply was that we should rest knowing we all did the best we could. And that we did. What I'm walking away with, and I believe I'm not alone on this, is far more valuable. I have connected with so many amazing, loving people - not just from my shelter, but from many shelters. In the past, I'd pass by people in my shelter's hallway and we'd exchange hellos without knowing much about one another. Now we do. The way that St. Hubert's united as a team and came together as ONE, is something for which we can hold our head high. We know we're committed wholeheartedly to working for the best interest of our beloved animal friends. And when one door closes, another opens. God always provides when one's heart and soul is striving for the highest good. I know that the dreams of St. Hubert's, our vision, is still happening as we speak. And now, we're truly a team. Without this Zootoo experience, we'd still have been working to achieve that dream; but with this Zootoo experience, we're now working as a united family--as ONE-- to make it all happen. The energy is more positive, powerful, uplifting and contagious! WOW! I feel so blessed to have met each and every one of you. You guys are all amazing...the dedication, work, time and effort that you all put into the love and care for the animals is something that cannot be expressed in mere words. My eyes well up with tears for the gift of each one of you. You are all such a blessing from Heaven Above. I wish all the top 10 shelters my personal best in their endeavor towards making their dream come true. Because whoever wins the prize, it's all for the same cause - helping our beloved animals.
