We traveled to Columbia, Missouri to visit our two heroes, Libby and Amanda. Wow, we discovered they are becoming journalists in the making with their Animal Talk video blog. If you haven’t seen it yet, check it out, it’s pretty cool.

We spent the afternoon with the Executive Director, President and Vice President of the board, reviewing their wish list and discussing potential makeover opportunities around the existing shelter of which we think there are many.

One thing I can say for certain, the volunteers, the workers and the management of CMHS are all great, caring folks that the community should certainly be proud of.
That evening, we met with the full board to review the afternoon that we spent at the shelter and talked over some of these opportunities. Looks like good first steps by all and we’re looking forward to working with the Executive Director and the board on this project. More information will be coming forward as progress moves along.
