Great article Jo.We need more exposure for the horses, not just your facility but Shiloh & other great horse rescues.I admire you and Jill so much.I was living in complete ignorance until just last year regarding PMU and slaughter houses for horses!I'm a member of the ASPCA and got an email highlighting the horse plight.I'm been trying to do my part by writing letters to our people in power, voting and supporting Shiloh.Once we get our property I'm planning on adopting a horse or two from Shiloh.I can't wait.I've gotten to know you & Angel Acres thru Jill & your wonderful website,so forgive my familiarity,I feel like I know you, at least your heart!I used to own a grade & 2 Quarter horses in the past. My first horse Blanco,a 13 year old, taught me surival and put all my adolesent gained knowledge to the test.I lost him to a bad colic espisode and had to be put down.I was only 19 yrs old.I've loved horses ever since I can remember even though I was a Los Angeles city gal, as my grandpa used to say.Keep up the great work, in spite, of any setbacks which are just an opportunity to try something else!
Jo-I'm glad to see this on here. I missed it on the news. I sent them an email the other day asking them to please do a follow up story since you made the top 10. Now if we could just get everyone voting!
Thanks!! Yes...they were very supportive and the reporter was very nice and was shocked about horse slaughter. Had no idea what happens to the horses that become homeless!
