For our shelter, as it would be for all shelters across the country, this makeover would be a dream come true. We are all striving to provide the best care for our wonderful animals.

I would like to see our shelter win this makeover so that we would have more room to house and care for the 5000 plus animals that come through our doors every year. So that the only time that our hardworking, caring staff and volunteers have to say goodbye to them is when they are leaving through the front door with their new family on the way to their forever home.

We need a separate area to keep the sick dogs and cats while we get them healthy so that we can place them in loving homes. If this would happen maybe Anne, one of our wonderful volunteers, could celebrate Christmas on the proper day rather than spending most of the day at the shelter nebulizing cats like she did this year.

This makeover would also help in our committment to provide a low cost spay and neuter clinic for our area which would greatly reduce the number of unwanted animals. With that, and education we hope to see fewer and fewer animals coming into our shelter and other shelters in our area.

This contest is just one of many examples of how our community bands together for the greater good of the animals. Whether we win the makeover or not, we feel that we are already winners because of this amazing experience! Thank you ZooToo.com!
