Support Our Troops

The Jefferson County SPCA is unique in that Fort Drum is located in its service area. With troops being deployed on a daily basis, and families having to be relocated because of this deployment, sometimes family pets have to also be relocated. It is not always feasible for a family to take their loving pets with them, so a visit is made to the SPCA.
Our local SPCA is full to capacity at all times. A larger facility is needed, and without this, there is no possiblilty of housing more animals. A larger facility is also required if we are to continue to accept the help of more volunteers. Greatness, as we all know, comes to those who persist.
Linda Miles is persistant. She has put much time and effort into bringing to Jefferson County a great SPCA. What we need now is a greater SPCA and this can only happen with more funding, support, and the assistance of everyone.
