Hope for our Little Shelter

If anyone had ever gone to where the Mason county shelter is located now, BEFORE Pets Without Parents started working there you would completely understand our passion about this group and this shelter and what they are doing now. The kill rate alone was heart breaking, not to mention how poor the care for pets was there. Yes I have heard all about the lack of funding but now its a completely different place. It really was just an animal control facility before there was no sheltering.
The pets now are vaccinated, bathed, socialized, photographed. The lost pets owners are actually tracked down to try to return a pet to its original family. So many more pets are finding loving homes its amazing. There are people working together to do fundraisers, adoption events, transportation to and from spay/nueter clinics, ALL this is done by PWP people.
The doors of the shelter are actually open for visitors and people looking for their pets. You can call and get ahold of a person or someone WILL actually call you back. If you've lost your pet and they don't have it PWP will actually help you look for it. They send out mass Email announcements of lost pets all the time trying to help people. I shudder to think of the years PWP wasn't involved in trying to care for the lost pets of Mason and Logan counties but THANK GOD they are there now, they surely deserve and hand and some much needed help. I LOVE PWP
Without them our family wouldn't have Maggie, she brings all of us so much joy. Thanks for all you're doing!!!

I agree totally! I volunteer for this group, and the difference in care and treatment of the animals is 1000 percent improvemant over the previous situation.
