Well Simone went in for her evaluation at Happy Tails which is where she will be staying with Phoebe while I am on vacation. i will be gone for a full 15 days . . I have never been a way from her that long so I am kinda worried. It seems like a great place though. Simone is staying in the small dog area and it has an indoor/outdoor play area. It is all free play 24 hours a day except when they eat. You can pick your dog up at any time day or night. I'm sure she will have fun and not miss me one bit . . I sure will miss her though. Natale is staying at Varitees a bird shop . . .I warned them to replenish his food daily because he will not eat the purple pellets . . I swear the bird would starve to death even though there were purple pellets in his cage.

3 weeks and counting until the cruise!

I hope you are having lots of fun on your cruise. I'm sure your babies are fine.

That's funny that Natale won't eat the purple pellets. Poopey LOVES the purple pellets, but won't eat the orange. Maybe we should work out a trade and save ourselves some money. It's so funny that they have color preferences.

I hate leaving my babies too. Don't worry, they will be fine. Sounds like Simone and Phoebe will have a blast together. Have a great vacation and happy 40th birthday.

Knowing Varietees, Natale will feel right at home. Hopefully the other birds will comfort him when he misses you. Just be prepared to get some ouches when you come home. Birds like to punish you if they think you "abandoned the flock." When you go there to drop Natale off, Apple's brother/sister might still be there! You also have to take pics of all the birds at Varietees when you go to pick him back up so we can see them! :)

Remember not to talk with any guys on the cruise. They put "roofies" in your drink and when you are unconscious, they throw you overboard.

You just go and have a good time. I am sure Simone and Phoebe will have a lot of fun with the new sourroundings and you will not have to worry. Natale should be fine too at a bird place who knows how to handle birds. It should really be fun for you.

I know it will be the trip of a life time . . I just am so used to her being by my side that I can't help but miss her! Luckily I can check e-mail and my friends will be checking in on her.

You're right, you'll probably miss them more than they miss you. They will be having fun playing and meeting new friends, just like you. First time we boarded our four westies, when we went to pick them up, the lady let them out of their runs, and they couldn't decide who they really wanted to go to, her or us. That was a good sign. They liked her. But also made me feel bad that they didn't miss me.
